There was a reality show on tv, I forget what it was called but it had city kids and amish kids living in the one house, and the amish girls were really torn, about going back to the amish lifestyle, after the show was finished.

There's an interesting documentary about wild and crazy Amish kids we rented a while back called The Devil's Playground. I'd recommend it if you're into documentaries about wild and crazy Amish kids. It was pretty well done.

Very good article.

I deal with Amish every day at work (I drive the truck with the copyrighted color).  The sect around here don't seem to celebrate rumspringa, but I'm sure the younger people still are given a choice to stick around or bail.

Actually, I've gained a lot of respect for these folks and their convictions. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live as simply.
