Spain takes the lead on a Torres goal, just chips it over the kepper

ballack should be out of this game for his theatrics and repeated little 'harmless' fouls with spikes to players ankles deliberately away from the ball.   the one time he actually did* get hit, of course he ran right over to the sideline and got his eye treated. every other time, he's on the ground like a bag of potatoes.  that *feces*stainer dive on the right corner was worthy of at least a 7.5

the torres goal was a beauty.

The Germans look like they don't belong in this match and seem to be reverting to rough play and dirty tricks at times. The Spaniards are just playing with the Germans. They deserve to win.

good job by spain keeping their cool in light of the german theatrics and instigation.  this game easily could have been 3-0 or 4-0  possession was about 50-50 but shots on was about 10-1

OK, a bit of time available to recap.

Germany forgot to show.  Horrible performance.  Lucky they didn't lose 3 or 4-nil.  Lahm gave up on the goal against one of the quickest forwards in the world.  Lehmann committed but couldn't get there and Lahm should have known it.

Midfield was dreadful.

Forwards were lethargic. 

Casillas didn't have to make a save.

Set plays usually resulted in no touch balls airmailed to row zed.

The craziest thing about the whole deal was that Spain played well, Germany played for *feces*e and yet the score remained 1-0. 

Deserved win.  Spain were the class of the tourney from the little I managed to watch.

Too much going against Germany. UB making the early call, 'ho's pulling for Spain causing Fuzzy to unleash his curse  http://www.golfhos.com/topic-8533.msg102969;topicseen#msg102969  , and Team Fuchsia going 3-0 (including a 2-1 victory over the only team to beat them this year - see below) in the CC United soccer jamboree.

They actually looked more "gold" in person.

And yes they were disappointed. They were undefeated in the regular season and went 1-2 this weekend. I felt really bad for their goalie at point. One of the goals was on a penalty kick and she started crying.

I think she was Italian.

Yep - should have been more than 1-0 - Germany only looked to be in the game for a few moments of the match.  Ballack never looked dangerous (unless you include Spaniard ankles) and did nothing to lead his team.  He actually looked like a cheap shot bastage - and a whiner.
