Am I the only person here, that plays golf anymore.
It seems like either everybody is snowed in, or watching football.
Just for the record I went out and shot 38 stableford points yesterday and won the ladies comp. 8) 8) 8)

What's the story, what is everybody doing.

i only play about 10 rounds a year ($, time factors)  and those are certainly done for this year with the snowfall in place and the courses closed!

i will hit the range 1-2x a month until april or may.

Surely, not everybody is snowed in. :'(

I see Tiger & Co, are playing in Southern California, so I thought that there still could  be a few of you still playing.

I think the last time I was on a course was in February.  I've been to the driving range, but my swing is a mess these days.

Hmmmm, haven't seen that plate yet.  New, I suppose?

Just got back from a morning round.  Teed off, it was 36 degrees.  Finished, it was 58.  My score was much "hotter".

6 to 12 inches of snow tonight through tomorrow. :sad3:

Yeah, they're new within the last few weeks. In reality, the brownish tint at the top is more red, and on first glance the plates look an awful lot like Idaho's.

Yes, I've played quite a bit of golf lately.  Three rounds in the past week alone!!!

Yet, because I'm multidimensional, I've also had time to give the intertubes their due, too.

Uummm, right now, in Central PA, it is snowing with 3-6 inches of snow forecast, and maybe an inch or so of sleet/ice on top of that.

I think I'm the only one in Texas, there may be one more. We get snow about twice a year. I don't play much anymore, mostly due to the kids. I've gotten out some this year but it is getting cold and wet now. Maybe Jan will have a day or two that are nice.

I just got back from "The Jingle Bell Open".

Drove 90 minutes with a 53 year old man who says "dude" every other word, played with the worlds slowest team, 44 degrees and windy, two chain smokers, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Finished 5 under, had a great time considering...Oh yeah almost forgot, you had to wear a Santa hat and jingle bells on your shoes. woo hoo!

Russell...sheesh try to pay attention.  :P...although if you play him down might give brother stroh the shot he so richly deserves.

It as in the 70s here all week.  Come this weekend, it's in the 50s, windy and raining.

Everyone knows I don't play golf in those conditions.

Same story here as Clive, though a little to the south of him.  Last Friday through Tuesday or Wednesday it was 70 to 75, though wind and rain this weekend - much needed rain.

Had the opportunity to play at one of the nicer clubs around here last weekend, though my little 5 month old needed a little time with dad, which I was happy to provide.

Of course not.  For you, it has to be much worse.  Not just raining and windy, but heavy rain and a strong gale at the very minimum.

Play once a week here in northern Calif. Next week, we're supposed to get rain, but probably not enough to keep me off the course.

Slow players, well really I think there should be some kind of law, that allows us to go a bit psycho, pull out a shot gun, and blast them out of the way. I hate slow golfers, I get so annoyed and frustrated. [sm_disgust] [sm_devil] [sm_disgust]

I haven't played in almost a month, which is a very long time for me. The weather and my schedule just haven't lined up lately, and I'm not sure when they will.

For the record, I'm posting this after getting up at 7am to check the weather in hope of playing, even in slop. Here it is:

Haven't played in about 6 weeks.  The weather isn't cooperating either.  We get some nice winter days for golf but currently we are in a non-golfing winter weather pattern.

Haven't played since Thanksgiving week. :'( The weather wasn't that good, then. The last week of November was an opportunity, but I was otherwise occupied on the best day. I've been hoping to get a round in during December, but it doesn't look good.  :sad3:Maybe I can sneak on the course on Christmas Day. [sm_devil]

I really haven't had time to play lately, what with the travelling, Christmas functions and so forth. I suspect that being the lady of leisure that you are and the year round good weather up north you'd have many more opportunities to get out and play, unlike some of us ;) :o

I haven't played in about 3-4 weeks - hurt my arm, then the weather turned ugly.  However, headed to Florida the week after this and am taking my clubs with me.  :D  8)

I've been wanting to play, but conditions on the weekend have been poor since Thanksgiving.  They don't look any better this coming weekend. I did play the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.  It was so warm I played in shorts and short-sleeves.

I just come here for the recipies and witty banter.

At least for me I still practice almost everyday, still play like crap almost every round, and still want that new driver with lastest technology (aka gimmicks) everyday  ;D
