Don't know jack about the genre other than to say that the junior high boys ABSOLUTELY do not consider Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance emo. Oh so last year alternative rock, yes, but not emo even though both bands are listed on the wikipedia page.

Emo was originally what MFAWG posted. Now it has morphed into all sorts of different stuff.
