The Blades were looking for some "grit", and they're hoping Acolatse will provide it. They also picked up Gogol who also provides "grit", and Viedensky who they hope will provide some playmaking skills.
Busy at the trade deadline.

Congrats to USA, they deserved it. It was a helluva final game and you guys are worthy champs. Your head coach, Dean Blais, said, "We played Canadian hockey. We played gritty. We learned from the best. It's not an accident you guys have won five straight gold medals."

The Blades have got a very balanced team, with no real big stars. I don't think they've got anyone among the league scoring leaders. They do however have a very big, physical defense, and their goaltending, especially Steven Stanford, is pretty strong. We got Stanford in a mid-season trade with the Prince Albert Raiders, and since then he is 14-1 with a 1.96 GAA.
They Blades didn't place any members on Canada's entry in the World Juniors, but Jiri Niemi in on Finland's team.

He certainly deserves to be in the Hall. Somehow voters overlook some players from smaller markets and once that precedent has been set, it's can be tough to break the trend. I'd be that if Dawson had played his early years in New York instead of Montreal, he'd be in by now.

A couple of things struck me here.
One, obviously they're doing something wrong.
Secondly, he apparently "stunned his teenaged fans". How old are these kids? Thirteen or fourteen at the most? Something doesn't jive there. Being that age I'd imagine they'd be nervous enough holding hands, let alone being stunned to find out **** isn't that great.

Rehired. http://www.startribune.co...ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUycaEacyU"Target has carefully reviewed the situation ... and we have determined that the team member terminations were the unintended consequence of a good policy rigidly applied. Therefore, Target intends to reinstate all seven of the team members, effective immediately." Making unintended national news doesn't help either. Precisely.
