reminds me of a story regarding my brother who is 4 years younger and sort of ties in to blader's little league story. He was playing t-ball around the age of 5 and was playing 3rd base. 5 year old t-ball is all about the "pitcher" who generally fields every ball and runs after the kids on the bases. So a groundball is hit to 3rd base and the pitcher cuts in front of my brother and catches it. Then he tries to throw it to first who of courses misses it. At that moment my brother flips the pitcher off while he is cutting in front and making the play. Everyone sees it. Everyone in the stands is cracking up except my father (the coach), my mother and me (obviously the person who taught him how to do it and is in deep *feces*). We laugh about it now though. |
