MP's post in another thread made me now have fried chicken on my brain.  I haven't tried creating a poll here, so let's see how works.

My tastes have changed over the years.  Growing up in Pittsburgh, I was only exposed to KFC and started out an extra crispy fan.  Then they changed the recipe and I went through an original recipe phase.  In college I had a summer internship in DC, which exposed me to all kinds of great chicken.

But now I'm on the west coast and the options are limited.  These days I'd vote for Popeye's Spicy.


So, what's your favorite fried chicken?

Popeye's spicy...no doubt.

I'd have to vote "other." There's a gas station about 5 blocks from where I grew up that makes their own. It's better than any chain I've ever tried. Mostly, though, I don't eat a lot of fried chicken anymore.

KFC E.C. I think Is my fave.  There is no Popeye's up here, but I used to like theirs.

I have to say for the most part, now, I'm like Capt. Healthy there above me.  Chicken breast, no skin.

I wish I could cut fried chicken out of my diet, but I think it's my kryptonite.

That's interesting about the gas station chicken, Capt.  I once tried fried chicken at a gas station and it was some of the worst I've ever had.  I think it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a week.  I'm not sure I'd try it again.

Since I'm from the L.A. area.... gotta go with Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles

No fried chicken for me.
