I don't really care for Microsoft, but Bill Gates has done a tremendous amount of good for the world over the past decade or so and continues to help thousands of people. That's just it - the typical user wouldn't find much reason to upgrade every year or even every 2 years. That is unless other big and wonderful changes were made as well, and those behind window$ don't seem efficient enough to do that.
