Title: Gorilla Glue?
Post by: stroh on July 15, 2007, 11:29:39 AM
Yea?  Nay?

I'm gluing fiberglass. The mounts for the hood on the mustang.  Last time I used the 2 part (tunafish) epoxy.  Worked ok, but now has come loose.  Maybe because I didn't use to lube my shaft first.

Gorilla Glue worth it?  Work?

At some point I will get some cloth, and resin, and do it right, but right now I'm just too lazy.  That's how I roll.

This stuff (gorilla glue) rocks. I'm not going to do a side by side with jbweld but I've used GG for a couple projects and was very impressed.

I could try it.  I haven't had much luck with that either.  :sad3: [sm_anon]

Tried a strut bracket for the hatch on a 92 explorer.  Followed all the directions, and it broke free in about 2 days.

Maybe I am just teh sukk at getting thinks to stick.

stroh, stroh, stroh. Has MacGyver been off the air THAT long? Maybe you need to start thinking "outside the box" and go back to the old standby:

In case you've forgotten about the utility of duct tape, here's a refresher course:

lmao @ duct tape.  I was looking for some last night for my laptop. (the corner of the case cracked and there's an unsightly gap in the plastic now)
