Vulnerability identified != Exploit implemented but Apple security stories are so ****y and headline worthy.  Although the standard Cupertino say nothing reaction to identified issues always bugs me.  Probably the same guys who are in charge of App Store approvals.  Now that the knowledge is "in the wild" I suspect we'll see a patch soon.

Hopefully it will be forthcoming before someone spawns SkyNet on my cell phone and persuades my toaster to attack city hall.

Or I'll switch to Android.... wait... or WinMob... wait... Blackberry, yeah, Blackberry.

LOL,  I know.  Just trolling a bit.  But if Apple wants to be taken seriously in this market, they better get the patch out.    That's all

Stories like this are ****y only because of the myth that Apple engineers are infallible and put out invulnerable software. The reality is that even if every iPhone in existence goes out of commission for a day or three, the world will still hum right along. It's not like it's a virus that could affect 90% of the world's PCs. ;D

Some would say that's already been done.   [sm_shock]

But I'm with this guy (http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article09-115).

Is it just me or does this story read like something out of Marvel Comics? Which dastardly villain escaped from Arkham Asylum to perpetrate this?

Seems you have to be a 28 moran to be caught out by this one.  Still, it was a ****y story...
