Title: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: spacey on November 28, 2006, 02:20:37 PM Just curious.
Personally, I try to drink a base of two liters per day. Then I drink an additional ml of H2O for every ml of anything else I drink (coffee, diet coke, bourbon, etc.) I also drink at least 1 additional liter on my workout days (3-4 x per week). By days end it's not uncommon for me to drink 3.5-4 liters of H2O. And yes, I make a lot of trips to the bathroom/restroom. Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? I made the decision 2 years ago, that I was not drinking near enogh water. (the math might be tough for me) I drink coffee in the morning, I would say a lot. Then I switch to water after lunch. (no pop/soda) I have a 700 ml bottle, and average about 5 by the time I get home. Then, of course I switch to beer, so I'm not sure how that figures in. I drink as much water as I can, but i know I could always mix in more. Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Told Maddie, they "didn't have a good handle" ;) Tho opening is too big, and I didn't like the cap. I just us a Gatorade Propel sport bottle. Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: Uisce Beatha on November 28, 2006, 02:48:13 PM I'd guess two litres a day. I drink from cups so it's hard to say for sure.
Then... I drink an *awful* lot of iced tea. Does that count? Seriously. Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: stegerman on November 28, 2006, 03:04:26 PM 1660 ml while at work.

Does it completely nullify the water intake or somehow make it count for less? Just tryin' to understand. ??? Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? No I don't think the caffeine completely nullifies the water, and frankly the sweetener (artificial or otherwise) and carbonation in soda is far worse for you. Quite honestly I don't know why I feel like I need to counter every cup of coffee with an equivalent amount of water. Probably over compensation. No worries, though, I have plenty of sodium in my diet. ;) Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: Uisce Beatha on November 28, 2006, 05:14:30 PM I'd guess two litres a day. I'd say your plan is rock solid. Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: stroh on November 28, 2006, 05:17:26 PM I've just moved from water, to water with hops, and barley. [sm_naughty]

Like Stroh, I drink a fair bit of coffee in the morning, and a beer or two ;) in the evening. Coffee and beer are diuretics, so I take that into consideration with regards to my water intake. Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: MP on November 30, 2006, 12:54:49 AM If you include the water they use to make diet coke, then about 44 oz/ day ;)
Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: Salamander on November 30, 2006, 06:46:03 AM I just had a glass and I'm thinking of getting a second very soon. Normally, I try to drink at least a liter and a half at work, and then another couple of glasses at least at home.
Title: Re: How much H2O do you drink? Post by: E-A-G-L-E! on November 30, 2006, 08:40:15 AM About 60oz of H2O a day in the winter and 80oz in the summer. Plus, 12oz of non-caffeinated tea.
