Are any of you people so lame that you buy presents for your pets?  No?  OK, I'm the only one, then.  My wife just asked me to see if I could pick up something for the dogs while in Oregon.

And in shopping, I managed to come across this:

My brother and his wife buy for their dogs.  Usually just some of the treats or toys they periodically get anyway, but they wrap them up to watch the dogs go bananas trying to get at them.  The lab was a master at opening, the basset is just an idiot.

But buying stuff for the dogs while you're in OR???  Thats just crazy talk (not that I'm calling your wife crazy mind you.... even if she did marry you).  Wal-Mart/Target/K-Mart should do the trick just fine.

Not lame. We usually get a chewbone or something. However our pup is 13 and has slowed down big time this year. I think she's at the point of only expending energy with her mouth for eating and drinking. We did get her a doggie bed this summer so I think she's set.

We buy presents for ours, both Christmas and birthday. He got a new bed for his birthday this year. Last year we bought a new harness for Christmas. I don't know what we'll get him this year, but a squeaky hump-toy may not be completely out of the question, if we can find one large enough.

I don't hate them for the day.

We buy a gift for our dog, but it's the same stuff he gets periodically anyway (chewtoy, treat, etc.).  Our dog used to get a gift from my in-laws, too, but we'll see what happens this year now that a granddaughter has replaced the granddog.

Dear, departed Mr. Cat always got something expensive and odoriferous from the fish department for Christmas. He clearly did not give a crap, but it made me feel good.

The product you highlighted is absolute proof of why cat's rule the world, and dogs are mans best friend.

If you brought a love doll to a male, unfixed cat, he'd look at you like you were an idiot, walk over and pee on it and then destroy something expensive.

You'd probably have to sleep with at least one eye open for a couple of years to boot...
