Title: New Laptop
Post by: dystopia on July 03, 2008, 05:52:52 PM
woohoo! I finally got a new laptop.  I haven't been a Mac guy since the early 90s.

Pro 15?

Nope.  Lowest end 13" one.  Will buy additional RAM separately.

I haven't been an Apple guy since 1982 when the Commodore 64 came out.

I have one of those.  Enjoy!   ;D

My work ride is a 15" MacBook Pro as I slowly leave a dual G5 tower behind (it'll be the family machine shortly but I have to convert to Eclipse/Java1.5/Axis1.4 on the laptop first.)  Posting this from a way old iMac which is about to be scrubbed clean.

I do see Ubuntu in my future though.   [sm_shock]

I do see Ubuntu in my future though.   [sm_shock]

One of the main reasons I went with a macbook is because of the ability to triple-boot to OS X, Linux, and Windows.

Noobs.   ::)

The coolest is when you're so cool you don't stoop to flaunting your coolness.  I keep my MacBook in my backback just so people don't quite know.  Like Clint Eastwood, I just roll into town and keep 'em wondering.  That's *goshdarn* cool.

i'd like to hear how that works out.  can the macbook run winblows vista?

Thanks!  It does seem like Fusion is the way to go over Parallels or Bootcamp.
