I get the sense that Palin spent that last 3 days memorizing McCain's talking points from his debate.

She only performed better than expected because she avoided the moose in the headlights moment. But she was only able to do so by changing the subject to energy whenever she didn't have something to say about a topic.

That's the perception I got.

She looks like she should be at home baking brownies or something

LMAO! I just got to this part of the debate on TiVo. She is a *goshdarn* bimbo. There's no better way to describe her.

I had a flashback to my time as a Minnesota youth, yelling at the TV almost as loudly as I used to when watching Vikings games growing up. Especially when they were losing to the Packers.

Holy *feces*, Palin, answer the *goshdarn* question that was asked!!!!!!!!  I can't take it anymore.  Quit rambling on and on about *feces* without saying *feces* (that's my job)!  Quit saying nukular!  By the way, I hate it when people pronounce ambulance am-blee-ance.

Could I, for even a moment, imagine her talking to other countries' heads of state?  Scary, scary thought.  The people that are not frightened by this thought scare me even more.  Other random thoughts:

Nice little intro by the moderator regarding "...We all understand that you are 1 heartbeat away from the presidency; how would your presidency differ from your running mate's?..."  How many sphincters tightened a notch considering Palin as president.  Nice, subtle moderating touch.

My wife is either a Palin apologist or she simply likes to piss me off - or both.

I was surprised that the reporters recapping the debate were not harder on her.  Yes, she performed better than in recent interviews.  Who gives a *feces*?  Has any of her national attention shown her to be competent for the position?

I can't call Palin a bimbo, but I'm happy to call her a politician.  To me, the latter is worse.

I'm tired of Obama - and now Biden - continuing to group the > $250,000 earners in with the oil companies receiving $4 billion in tax cuts.  The groups are typically mentioned in the same sentence recapping their tax plan.  I don't make $250k per year yet.  I would like to and work my ass off trying to get there, putting in 60 years a week on a slow week, 70-80 more commonly.  My dad grew up a farmer in Montana.  8 years ago, I was making < $40k per year.  I am not close to the oilman.  Knock it the *fudge* off.

"The fact is...", "You have to understand...", "It is important to note", repeating the same sentence 2 or 3 times for emphasis, effective changing of cadence and tone.  Joe Biden seems to know his NLP.  Did he have personal lessons with Anthony Robbins?

A metaphor: For years, there were the Ford families and the Chevy families.  Regardless of the models on the showroom floor, Ford families bought Ford, Chevy bought Chevy.  I grew up in a Ford family.  Eventually, I outgrew Fords, but Chevy was never an option for me.  I turned to Honda and Toyota, and recently purchased Infiniti.  My family was a Republican family.  For years I "bought" Republican.  I can't buy it anymore.  But I just can't get myself to buy Democrat either.  Someone please create an alternate for me.

Good analogy on the radio this morning.

Sending a rookie quarterback out in a big game.
Run only these 10 scripted plays.  Don't get out of your comfort zone, don't try anything fancy if you feel like you get in trouble.  Don't cough it up, and just don't lose the game.

Seems like she pulled it off.

Now that is an analogy that Joe Sixpack can understand.  You betcha.   ;)

That woman is crab bait, will be eaten alive inside the Beltway, where cute folksy is a foreign language.  She's just way out of her league and is too stupid or blinded by ambition to realize it.

I totally missed the Gen McClellan thing that Palin did last night.  I wasn't aware that the commander in Afghanministan is Gen. McKerinan (sp?)

LOL--McClellan is a true hero of the South, coming within a whisker of losing the war of northern aggression

I'm sure the Obama people have made an ad on it by now
