What are your favorite and least favorite pies?

Here are my favorites:
1. Pecan pie
2. Apple pie
3. Key lime pie
4. Shepherd's pie
5. Shoofly pie
6. Chicken Pot Pie


Least favorite pies:
1. Mincemeat pie
2. Pumpkin Pie
3. Lemon meringue pie
4. Cherry Pie


Would like to try:
1. Coconut cream pie
2. Sweet potato pie

Favorites
1. Key Lime (if its actually key limes!)
2. Coconut Cream
3. Chocolate Meringue
4  Peach Cobbler (if that counts)
5. Cherry Cobber (if that counts)

Don't like:
everything else

French Silk.

Sometimes I'll bake up a couple of pecan pies.  It's well worth the effort because no one else in the family likes it..... I can have them all to myself  :P

Everything else is just wasted calories.

Cherry, Apple, Lemon or chocolate Meringue, French Silk, Strawberry Rhubarb, pumpkin.......

Not many I don't like, mincemeat and sweet potato are on it though.

OK.  World's best pie?  Banana cream.  Nothing even comes close.

I can't believe there are people in the world who've never tried sweet potato pie.  That's freakin' sad. 


World's worst pie?  Apple.  How anybody can eat cooked apples is a mystery to me.

And I'm with Fisherking on the sweet potato pie thing. A good homemade one, hard to beat.

Hmm, I don't have pie very often.  However, that's not because I don't like pie - just that I don't have time to make it.

I know this sucks.  It seems pretty close to you guys but heading north so that's good.  A little too close for comfort I'm sure.  The sirens were going off around here and we are miles away from it.

Kind of a nerdy pun. I want to open a restaurant called "Sea++" (seafood + bar + grill).

(I'm one too.  My observation is completely Objective.)

So nerdy I had to think about it for a minute before the pun became clear.

Actually ate at the Weber St. location Wednesday night.  Different ambience, which is part of the experience at the U location, but food's exactly the same. 

Still have some pepperoon and shroom leftovers in the fridge.  Dinner tonight.   [sm_headbang]

We drive to the U location every 10-12 weeks or so for a pie and a pitcher. The only problem is you have to time it just right. There's a very narrow window between the families with young children/ jr. high age crowd and the high school kid crowd. It's rare to see many actual college students there after 5:00 pm, at least until much later. Mostly they seem hang out there during regular class hours and then surrender the place to the high school crowd who think they know a really hip secret. (I confess, in high school I was part of that crowd, though all my graffiti has been long since covered up.)

My first couple of years at the U (1992-1994ish), their quality suffered a bit. I don't know if they were under different management or what, but their sauce and crust sucked and they skimped on toppings. They eventually returned to their former glory. Hard to find a better "traditional style" pizza in the SLC area.

I like pie.
