Title: Giving Ubuntu a test drive
Post by: APTech on April 08, 2008, 05:03:46 PM
I just got done downloading Ubuntu.  The disk is burning as I type.  I have a laptop at work that is going to be my test machine.  As I have several hdd's in my desk drawer that are taking up space, I figure I'll see what the fuss is all about.

I dual-boot it, I doubt you'll be disappointed. 8)

You're sure to have had enough time by now to see how much you like it. 8)

Not really.  The hard drive I was using is junk.  All I really had a chance to do is check it out via the cd.  From what I saw, I think I'll like it.  Need to find another 2.5" hdd.

Well, you'll just have to let us know then. :)  If you liked what you saw from the LiveCD, then I'm pretty certain you'll really like it when you have a hard drive to install it on.
