Nice system!! Congrats! Title: Re: Aske and Sal bought themselves an early holiday gift... Post by: spacey on November 22, 2006, 08:02:49 PM Dude, you're getting a Dell? :o ;D
Title: Re: Aske and Sal bought themselves an early holiday gift... Post by: Aske on November 22, 2006, 08:04:28 PM No Wii? not right now, looking at (and using) sal's beatup ancient laptop , it became clear that a new PC was more pressing :( (trust me, I want a wii badly!) combined with the fact that my parents and her parents gave us basically a month to 5-6 weeks of grocery $ for my birthday, and the fact I had a 25% code for dell, and dell has 12 month no interest financing... it was too hard not to do it. that machine, knock on wood, should be good for 4-5 years, vista ready (when I finally give in to it) , etc... Title: Re: Aske and Sal bought themselves an early holiday gift... Post by: Aske on November 22, 2006, 08:05:48 PM Dude, you're getting a Dell? :o ;D see my last post. considering just the processor, and RAM alone in it have a newegg price around $600, and we're getting the whole thing for $1200 (with 2y warranty and sales tax)... trust me, if I had the $, i'd build a nicer, diy rig Title: Re: Aske and Sal bought themselves an early holiday gift... Post by: stroh on November 22, 2006, 08:06:19 PM ;D ;D
I think I'll get one. Prob. well after the holidays. My little one is getting old enough now to be able to enjoy something like that! :) Title: Re: Aske and Sal bought themselves an early holiday gift... I just couldn't resist the jab. The desktop in the office downstairs is a DIY, but hard to do with a laptop. Ain't nothin' wrong with a Dell, really. Particularly given the OEM alternatives. Vista is awesome. Pretty spendy, though, not to mention the 13GB of space it requires.... Title: Re: Aske and Sal bought themselves an early holiday gift...
