Title: Career Drive
Post by: APTech on July 22, 2008, 05:33:59 PM
I spent two weeks back home in NoDak starting on the 4th of July.  Got back to the Cities this past Sunday.  The middle weekend was the county fair, and the fair board sponsored a scramble on Saturday.  The long drive hole was the 382 yard 1st hole, which runs pretty much west to east.  The wind was blowing a steady 35 mph out of the NNW, mostly north though.  I aimed well to the left and took a mighty rip figuring that the wind would blow the ball back to the fairway.  Didn't see the ball land, but figured it should be down there a good distance.  Drove down towards the green and I don't see my ball.  Turn around and look in the rough and still no ball.  Head back toward the green, and the group ahead of us is leaving the green and I see a white dot just short of the green.  Put that little sumbitch 18" off the green dead in line with the pin.  Career drive of ≈ 375 in the fairway.  Put the long drive marker up there and said come get some.  Won $25 gift cards for the entire team.  Hit another one on the 4th hole ≈ 350, but not in the fairway.  Had the wind blowing straight up my arse on that one.

The SuperQuad/757 Speeder is still the gamer.
