In fact they can't invest in any public good at all". He went off the rails, something along the lines of "We've told you for years that liberals hate corporations, but really, this? I've never heard vitriol of this type before" ... now correct me if I'm wrong, being that I'm some dumb librul who hates 'merka and corprayshuns and all, but I thought that they were chartered with fiduciary duties to the shareholder, not to 'the public good'.... maybe I misread that though, since I'm not whacked out on oxycontin...

I don't listen that much anymore, mostly because he works his ads RIGHT into the whaarrgarrbbl, and he is NO Paul Harvey. He's been on full retard for a while. Watching the GOP eat itself from within, and simultaneously embrace it's own destruction has been really, really amazing. This made me crazy too. I used to listen to him at lunch. I'm listening trying to follow along and get what he's saying and the next thing I know he talking about *goshdarn* Carbonite. Still would listen to him on the way home when I would work Saturdays back home. Just like you said. "Page 4. Folks, do your balls itch?. I want to talk a minute about....." Funny, his son filling in or "Rest of the story" is very good too. Eerily similar. The thing I love about (sports) am 1130 back home is they are not sports shock jocks. They know it and actually revel in the the fact. Occasionally playing snippets from others around the country and basically saying "Aren't you glad we're not like that and you don't have to listen to it." |
