Title: Is The Circle Nearly Complete? And *feces*.
Post by: stroh on March 05, 2010, 06:43:46 PM
Is this place ending the way it started?

Where the *fudge* did everybody go? (I'm not really asking where, nor do I really care.  It's just;  They all gone.)

Kinda sad.  This joint was the most rockin' stop on the tubes for a time.   It was a pretty good run.

Hmmmm.  Good times.   Good times.

But I suppose going back to Scotch and cigars isn't all bad.

Still check in once a awhile, my hours are crazy, by the time I get home this place is really dead so I just read and move on. Sounds like things are changing drastically at work (AKA Shan-gri-la) so I just might post more often. I'm still in Uisce's soccer league but where is Uisce?

Good to see you G.  Hope things are going "ok".   Whiskey Bibble left a long time ago.  I think it was the political threads although I credit myself with the constant soccer bashing for his exodus.   ;D

Crossed paths with him just last weekend.  ;)  Add in a hobbit from Missouri and I don't think Bandon has ever seen a shorter group.

Great pics!  I still can't get used to seeing a course without cartpaths.

I'm not sure why things dropped off here. :sad3:

You know, we always called each other good fellas. Like you said to, uh, somebody, You're gonna like this guy. He's all right. He's a good fella. He's one of us. You understand? We were good fellas. Wiseguys. But Jimmy and I could never be made because we had Irish blood. It didn't even matter that my mother was Sicilian. To become a member of a crew you've got to be one hundred per cent Italian so they can trace all your relatives back to the old country. See, it's the highest honor they can give you. It means you belong to a family and crew. It means that nobody can *fudge* around with you. It also means you could *fudge* around with anybody just as long as they aren't also a member. It's like a license to steal. It's a license to do anything. As far as Jimmy was concerned with Tommy being made, it was like we were all being made. We would now have one of our own as a member.

Interesting side bar:  I was reading that the introduction of mafia "types" was very important and very specific.

To say "This is Mikey The Beer.  He's a friend of ours. "  Meant you were introducing a made guy.  Otherwise you would say "He's a friend of mine."  Meaning he's still a good fella, knows what's going on, and is down with everything, but not part of La Familia.

Sonny Black introduced Donnie Brasco as a friend of ours and that's what got him whacked.  Well that and the whole FBI thing, but even still pretty interesting on the introduction.

I think I answered this in a previous post, and besides, I haven't anywhere else to go.

Something to do with being estranged from that other place....

Not that this place is like that kid who always gets picked last in football or anything...

 ;)

Don't blame me.  Y'all had a one-in-a-lifetime chance to have me serve as your moderator.

But you blew it, choosing some NJ-based crypt *trollop* and constitutional fetishist, instead.
