Kewl!  I'm quite pleased with the size of mine as well.  I wouldn't want to go too much thinner 'cause they so much easier to wiggle and get a blurry shot.

sal got tired of trying to carry our  fuji finepix s7000 (hahahha! samsung s700! how clever!)   in her purse...  it's not an slr,  but it's almost that big.

apparently  nobody on  fgi   does  bf.   1 more reason why  golfhos is better!

sure, if you're only going for 1 thing (or items that are cheap to begin with), it's probably not worth your time.   but if you are patient all year, and can manage to spare 5-6 hours on friday morning,  you can easily get   multiple items at way under 50% of normal price, saving hundreds, if not even thousands of dollars.

true, if you want the stellar deals (like  50" dlp tv  for $1000 off, etc)  you'll need to get there thursday evening @ 7 or 8pm  probably.  that may or may not be worht it to ya

If you prepare for camping out the night before, it won't be that bad.  The guy at the front of the line had a tent/ generator/ heater/ and tv.  He was there since 11:00 am thanksgiving day.

Then I see the hauls people get and have to confess a little envy.

It's never going to be for me, but for those that do it, more power to you.

If a group of teenagers/20 year olds did it together I imagine it would be great fun and they could net some serious gear. 

I saw on another forum that some kid went at 4:30 pm the day before and got all the tickets for the big stuff he wanted, he was about 20th in line.  Then the little bastage got a load of other tickets for stuff he didn't want and went down the line, selling them, making hundreds of dollars.

Went to work on Friday morning.  Usually avg speed at 8am on a friday morning is 15mph. 

On BF I was doing 85 in the fast lane with nobody in front of me and getting tail gated.  Everyone was shopping and the freeways were empty.   ;D
