this is a problem, but NOT if*... EROEI on equivalent drive unit ethanol > EROEI available gasoline , s.t.c. that EROEI >1 the problem is the if* isn't true with modern technologies. Not sure how well it scales, though. well, some plants are certainly far more efficient solar collectors than anything mankind will likely engineer. but yes, indeed, global-scale... converting them to fuel oil type products without losing net energy... different issue 8) Title: Re: You probably already knew this.
