A Canadian court has lifted a 12-year-old girl's grounding, overturning her father's punishment for disobeying his orders to stay off the internet. The girl had taken her father to Quebec Superior Court after he refused to allow her to go on a school trip for chatting on websites

My mum just returned from a trip to England.  Not sure if this is Salisbury or Portsmouth or the whole country but:

• Backyard pools, including paddle pools, are prohibited unless you have a lifeguard on duty.
• No chalk on the pavement.  i.e.  No hopscotch.
• No conkers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conker).
• Dog feces on your property will be encircled with white paint after one day.  I forget the schedule from here on out but after some other period of time if it is still there it will be encircled with yellow paint.  It goes on until eventually you're fined or shot or something.
