We used to pour ice water over a sugar cube in a absinthe spoon, and drink it like a shot. I will say, that it is a very different feeling buzz than regular alcohol, though its hallucinogenic effects are bogus.

Then I was very surprised when I looked up absinthe and saw plenty of reports of the exact same thing, except every source describes these reports as just myths. So I'm very confused! Is there something going around under the name of absinthe that is actually something completely different? How did we get all these effects if they're just myths? It can't be psychosomatic because I had never even heard of absinthe and had no idea it was anything special. Hard to say if it was any different feeling that regular alcohol. I do remember walking around the lawn by the eiffel tower and asking everyone for pot. Most of the kids looked at me like I was some drunk ass moran american, rightfully so of course. Finally the girl we met at our hostel from Gibralter scored some pretty good weed. Any hallucinating I experienced I will attribute it to being drunk off my ass and stoned to the bejesus belt. I'm guessing you'd have to mix it with opium, LSD or shrooms to trip. I can see how the description below could happen but it wouldn't be too unusual for me if you know what i"m sayin.
