No, Miss Blader asked me to buy it to watch in the car on our Turkey Day road trip. I'd never heard of it before that. But I enjoyed it. Quite a lot. I had no expectations going in, and I like being surprised. I like the quirky-parody-of-an-offbeat-genre thing. In my day, it was "The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai" Since getting home, and checking up on it, it seems the story of the movie itself is pretty interesting, too. The poor schlep who was the creative force behind it all got no money out of it because he signed away the DVD sales---and, of course, it was only distributed by DVD. What a slimy business! To the extent that I viewed them as running gags, as if the film is saying, "These are the hero's, but they aren't really all that heroic if they can't say anything without spraying the f-bomb and a bunch of bullets all over it."
