It is our Christmas party for Ladies at golf today, so it should be fun day at golf, ambrose/scramble, secret santa and lunch, and also, I am not driving so I will be "drinking at golf today" [sm_devil] [sm_devil], I have told Russell to expect a phone call to come and pick me up from golf.  It's going to be a fun day. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ours was yesterday. A luncheon and program, then back to work. I was lucky enough to have too much work to do to attend.

Worst thing about being an attorney: not being able to get utterly *feces*-faced at the company parties.

I had my one vodka martini (stirred, hicks!) and a steady drizzle of Cokes thereafter.  :sad3:

We don't have a real holiday party.  It's more like a holiday lunch (plus white elephant gift swap minus alcohol).  They charge us $27.50, so I pass every year.

Is that something they teach at school?  Kinda like, "You're a lawyer so you're already a huge *bunghole*.  Don't get drunk and push it."

Just wunderin'

No, it's that I possess such sensitive company information that the risk of inebriation is imprudent.

Oh, who am I kidding -- it's the *bunghole* thing.  :sad3:

Our party is noon to 4 tomorrow in Downtown OKC.  It is a casino night thing so I expect something just like "The Office".

I wanna holiday party.  >:(

You can go to mine.  Got the invitation about 2 hours before the RSVP was due.  They remembered me!!!

Declined though.  The company is, how shall we put it, lacking a certain proclivity for opening the bar.  So there will be a top notch meal at a hotel downtown but I kinda have a rule.  Buy me drinks or let me bring my kids.  Either/or.  I don't care.

I think in all fairness, I should explain to you exactly what it is that I do. For instance tomorrow morning ill get up nice and early, take a walk down over to the bank and... walk in and see and uh... if you don't have my money for me, I'll... crack your *fudge*in' head wide-open in front of everybody in the bank.

Better luck this time 'Fredo.

How are you sorted?  Back at home yet?  Damage report?

[sorry if you answered already and I missed it elsewhere]

Well I'm at work today so I'll be on the hos.  Still without power but luckily no further damage to the property and house is fine.  Just a huge mess of tree debris all over the place.  Power line is still sitting in the yard.  We were on the list for the electirician yesterday but they couldn't make it by.  They should arrive today though and they will reattach the line for us as well while they repair the electrical box.  If they come today and get the line and everything back up we should be in good shape.  Hopefully we will then get power back on by the weekend.  I can't handle a whole weekend at my parents house so my fingers are crossed.
