Title: Umlaut Sighting Post by: dystopia on April 02, 2010, 08:23:02 PM So I think I mentioned that I wrote a couple of Android apps for wine and beer aficionados.
Simple apps for people to track their tasting notes, ratings, number of bottles in the wine cellar, or to log the number of beers you have of each kind. One feature is that you can use your phones camera to scan the barcode on the bottle which looks up the UPC code. But if someone scans a barcode that isn't found, it gets logged. So I get to see all kinds of interesting wines and beers, some that I've never heard of. Weekend nights are big for these apps, as expected. So a few minutes ago, someone around the world just scanned a Ménage à Trois Rosé bottle with their phone, and I suspect strohdag.
