Title: Penn State: Death penalty, or not? Post by: MFAWG on November 13, 2011, 07:25:25 AM I've given it a couple of days: If the NCAA won't suspend a program over this, they need to just give up on any appearance of being a sanctioning body and go straight to running a protection racket:

Post by: MFAWG on November 13, 2011, 12:17:14 PM The Moody's downgrade is the only reason to keep the program going: You're probably looking at dozens of victims and tens of millions of dollars in lawsuits that the state would be smart to settle quickly and quietly. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is going to be on the hook for the bulk of that money, and the football program makes money.
