Many also brought the creature comforts of home: televisions to watch DVDs and boom boxes to hear their favorite songs to pass the hours. A DJ also set up on the lot. The company passed out free food and held an ice cream social at midnight. When the doors opened at 6:30 a.m., Chick-fil-A spokesman Phillip Perlman said, 132 passed through. Ironically McDonald's has the same thing out down here called a Southern Chicken Sandwich.
