Title: stats- forum and user
Post by: Aske on November 22, 2006, 09:09:03 PM
can we get a stat on post count / time online... something like  posts per minute or hour ?

i'd like to see how shameless I really am.

Sounds good.  shouldn't be too hard to add.

I think I've got my new Recent Posts page working.  Just found a bug with the "News" at the top, so after I fix that, I'll work on this stat.

OK, I think I got this working correctly now.  If you look at someone's profile, there should now be a stat for Posting Rate.

How about the stats get a modifier and smilies don't count?

Or in the profile it says an average word per post amount?

Links count as 1.

 ;D

There's an interesting mod for this forum that I thought would be funny to install one day and see if anyone notices.

http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=290
Quote
With this modification, you may set a minimum character/word requirement for each post on your forum. When a user attempts to post, their post length will be checked, and if the post doesn't have enough words, or enough characters, the person will receive an error.

Actually, I thought it would be funnier to customize that mod so that if someone makes a post with only a smiley in it, the post would be allowed, but the member would have one previous post deleted at random. [sm_devil]

Crank it up.

Just have it deduct 10 from the post count but leave the posts.

The memberlist shows the actual totals if people didn't have something taken off for every smiletastic post.

Aske has gone from 3170 to -360.

Torp has gone from 254 to 4.

I think it's working fine (apart from the apparent random renumbering)

 [sm_eekdance] [sm_bow] [sm_beertoast] [sm_hump]  [sm_wave]

And a w00t.

It only does it to 'some'.

My post count on the side is the same as in the memberlist.

Sorry guys, this was supposed to be a joke and fixed early this morning but I slept in.  I didn't mean for it to go so close to game time.

Should be back to normal now.  But then again, I'm a java/oracle programmer, so things always get dicey when I start mucking around with php/mysql. [sm_devil]

The case for the prosecution rests.

In fact, move for summary judgment.

I found the story on the net, I will put it in 'words' that you can understand......

It ends badly, unless you count Bubba's involvement in the last 'pictogram', he was happy.
