Uhhhhhhh, so is anyone going to explain this one to me or are y'all going to leave me guessing?
"This place is dead anyway" is a line spoken by a character (pictured above) in a movie called Swingers. Thanks! Makes perfect sense now. ...Other than it now leaves me with a question. One such as, "So what are you suggesting?" Or even, "What's your point?" Oh, dear! Or perhaps you are thinking of quitting the place. Or that we all quit the place. After all, I'm thinking Swingers is the name of a bar, and this place got stuck with the name Cantina. Side note: Of all the names the general forum was tagged with, that happened to be my least favorite... So I ignored it and managed to forget about it for a while, 'til it hit me in the face just now. (And no, there definitely is not even a single tinge of gratitude in my "voice"!  ) So here's another question: Did I just put something together or did I totally read into things? |

LOL! I'm glad you asked. I was lost too! Well, I was kinda hoping they'd get the hint when I said I'm still not up on pop culture. However, I haven't been posting frequently, so they're all a bit rusty, I guess. |

Nope, I don't. And since you brought the subject up, let me tell you about a bumper sticker that Kev saw the other day. Wish I had seen it myself because I really like it. It says, "If you must cuss, please use your own name." Just a thought.

I have apparently missed quite a bit in the time that I've been away. Anyone want to give me a recap?
After a disappointing stint with the Minnesota Vikings, Brett Favruh finally retired. That's about all that's happened. Well, that much I knew. Except it could have possibly been less disappointing had the Saints not put a bounty on his head, or his knees, or whatever would take him out of the Championship. But that's another matter, isn't it? A very sad matter that's likely best not contemplated since could-have-beens can be so disheartening.  I meant here.  And by the way, I hadn't gone on my hiatus yet when the aforementioned happened. |
