Then why are you assuming that every man, woman and child in America drives?

im not. just as i don't assume every man woman or child earns $, etc.  normalized per capita statistics have great value.  please feel free to convert it to  miles per household per day if you like.  then its ~3 miles less per day. :)   what does that really mean?  1 less trip to the grocery store a day?

We still go joy-ridding like good honest merkans.  Seriously just cruising around for *feces*s and giggles looking at houses, windows rolled down on a Sunday drive.

I don't really drive any fewer miles than I used to, in fact I probably drive more, I just do it at 48 mpg bitches.

Affected here.  We drive way less.  Work and back, that's about it.  Try to combine grocery, errands, etc. into the work commute.
