Title: A Pretty Good Ho's List (part two)
Post by: Seamus on October 27, 2007, 12:32:33 PM
So as not to thread jack

I would enjoy seeing the same list from any one of you. But keep it to the parameters of the original Stroh posting.

Your Top 20 Recognizable guitar licks. You don't have to embed a you tube but can if you want to.

All genres acceptable, Norwegian death metal is acceptable, the hybrid rap rock is acceptable (like Rage or Korn), anything by Chet Atkins or Les Paul is not only acceptable but will score you major karma points if you find something recognizable to the group, if not prepare to be pointed and laughed at and possibly smited.  ;D

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd begin.

And even though I think Keith Richards is one of the most over hyped lead guitarists of the 20th century.

He did give us this.

My number 5. You know I had to include Sabbath, it was just a matter of time.

A great guitar riff has to grab you by the nads right away.

Like this.

A great guitar riff has to grab you by the nads right away.

Ayup: (Audio only, but it's possibly the greatest opening EVAR)

Turn it up:

This goes in my personal top 20, mostly because I remember the moment I first heard it with great clarity, and I knew nothing would ever be the same.
