Caution - violating your companies security policy can get you fired right quick; besides, nothing they list is needed to get your job done.  The posting is pretty irresponsible in that respect.  Our cross town investment services rival fired about 60 people last year for violating security and Internet usage policies - some as 'innocent' as fantasy football leagues.

Then again, I'm working in an environment where even our CD/DVD drives and USB ports are locked down (although mine are open based upon job function and special permission).  Network access is locked down too - we're only permitted to connect to our remote access site from outside the company - no generic Internet access or even private home network access.  Anal yes - but we haven't had a security breach, virus problem, or denial of service attack since before I started working here.  Your biggest IT support costs are what users do to themselves - we have eliminated almost all of that.

[All the above was written in case our security staff monitors this.  I'm actually posting this from a rogue Firefox install ;) ]..
