Do I need two receivers to view picture in picture w/ D* satellite?

what do you mean?

as in using your projector or TV have live PIP window of 2 different  d* channels ?   i would assume you need two receivers for that (at least for cable you would)  ... but I don't have them so I can't say for certain what their boxes are capable of.

yeh, you'll have to ask over on avs  or call up your provider to find out. sorry. (still dont think any boxes actually do it though)

That's the way it was way back when I did have sat.  I remember asking the installer about pip and he said hook up your other receiver.  Just for pip?  That seems like a waste.  Can't this box do more than that?  *fudge*.off.directv
