My 3 1/2 year old son HATES mustard. It's actually become quite useful as a punishment/deterrent. Whenever he smart mouths or backtalks he gets a spoon of mustard. Now when he acts up all we have to say is "Get to the kitchen!!" >:( and he starts wailing "Noooooo, not the mustard, not the mustard!!!!" :-X It's funny because nothing else works. He doesn't give a rats behind about being put on time out, having toys or videos taken away, not getting dessert, etc. But tell him he's getting the mustard and it's instant repentance.
