headline.
Employers cut payrolls less than expected

the governments method,

Quote
The seasonally adjusted overall civilian unemployment rate — 5 percent in April — is based on a survey of 60,000 households. It showed that 362,000 people said they found employment last month, outpacing the number of people who couldn’t find work.

what kind of made up *goshdarn* bull*feces* is that. i'm no math whiz but they surveyed 60,000 households and there was 362,000 people in these 60k households that recently found work? for those of you who's heads haven't exploded yet, thats 6 people per *goshdarn* house that found a job in the last month?

Quote
Economists tend to put more stock, however, in the much broader business survey of 400,000 work sites that is used to calculate the payroll figures.

wow how crazy is that? they actually ask how many employees they got rid of? FTW
so the gist of the situation is the guberment just makes up this number, this is how 20,000 more people  lose their jobs than find work and the unemployment rate goes down.

Crackdown leads to drop in illegal immigration

Quote
A U.S. crackdown is causing the longest and most significant drop in illegal migration from Mexico since the Sept. 11 attacks.

how the guberment figures this,
Quote
Border Patrol arrests are down 17 percent so far this year along the U.S.-Mexico border after falling 20 percent all of last fiscal year and 8 percent the year before that. While it's impossible to know how many people are crossing illegally, the Patrol uses apprehensions to estimate the ebb and flow of traffic.

SAY WHAT? since you arrest less people means there are less people to arrest? did it ever occur to you that maybe these criminals are using an alternative method? FTW

Activists want reforms that include citizenship opportunities

excuse me? they have citizenship opportunities. you cross the border "legally" work and behave your self, and after 7 years you can "apply to be a citizen".

when these criminals were in the middle of the street protesting yesterday, why weren't they scooped up and sent back from where they came. border security WTF?
