..on a "Golf Forum", does anybody else still build or tinker with actual clubs anymore?

I built a set of irons, 3-PW, yesterday and have a new driver to put together.

Anyone else? ???

No.  Glue hates me.

That would imply there was a point in time at which one had begun building golf clubs.

Not recently. All of my tinkering has been motorcycle related. Got the new Wishon catalog today though, it kind of got the old juices flowing. Probably won't buy anything, though. I am trying to make it through an entire year on the same bag. I started in August.

Considering the way you treated your brand new paper cutter, that doesn't surprise me.

I have 4 drivers that need assembled or are going to get reshafted as soon as my backordered tip weights arrive.  I put together some reid lockhart wedges last week, I am hoping to get to the range in the next couple of days to give them a try.

i just ordered 3 new nak hybrid heads and have 2 drivers to put together. looking for some wedge heads also. :)

Yeah, I still do a little bit.  I'm trying not to change the golf bag contents, save for the hybrid (still looking to replace an SMT Avocet) and reshafting the 5-wood.

What do you need?  I've got a good supply on hand.

I watched a club being made once.

I've watched more than that being unmade.

It's a violent hobby.

Thanks Clive, but I'm not in a big hurry, and they are supposed to be back in stock anytime.

Never got into club building but I fancy new drivers.  I just let the professionals put them together.  The rest of my bag is set for the year but still on the magical driver hunt.

I have a 949 MC that needs shafting.  Still want to try a FS2 and the new Xplode from Tourswing.

I haven't for a while now but need to either redo my irons or build some new ones. Need to change shafts, maybe a more forgiving head.

I would like to try a new driver but that would also mean I would have to play. Probably the same reason I haven't done anything with the irons yet. :sad3:

I love the clubs I got for Christmas in 2006!  Still can't hit my 4iw all that well, but I'll be working on that this summer.

I have a set of Nakashima NP1's just begging me to put shafts in them.  Need to go get some ferrules and grips and I'll get them put together.  I will probably wait until it's nice enough to work out in the garage tho.

If he's got a Y chromosome, he probably doesn't know where the kitchen is.

I haven't built any clubs for ages, however I've just finished building an extension to my deck.

With the landscaping I've done to the backyard, it could just about pass for a Clubhouse verandah overlooking an 18th green.
