Well, I don't know about 'nuff said, but I'll say no more because I have a tendency to completely embarrass myself in the Heroes (spoilers) threads. Apparently it's related to my being stupid as hell.

No, I thought you meant Stan Lee the comic book legend.  "'Nuff said" is one of his stock lines.

And dammit, YOU aren't the one who's stupid as hell.  It's that P&R moderator over THERE.

I can't even watch that show.

I like my TV simple:

A crewman gets killed, Spock, McCoy and Kirk beam down, find the Romulans there, Kirk bangs the spacechick and saves everybody at the end. Then McCoy and Spock have a little verbal joust at the end.

The end.

I did mean Stan Lee the comic book legend. I had no idea about "'nuff said." Further proof that perhaps "stupid as hell" doesn't begin to describe me. Another bad showing for spaceage in a Heroes (spoilers) thread. I think it's like 0-14 now or something like that.

He does a lot of that Marvel cameo stuff.

Tonight may have been his best work....

I completely missed that!  It did seem like an odd exchange between hiro and the bus driver, and now I understand why it was in there.

I agree about Mohinder, de's supposed to be the smartest guy there, his behavior in this ep. seemed out of character.

Good episode overall, though, and next week looks even better.  I was ranting 3/4 of the way through when I thought that the "redshirt" super-hearing mechanic was the "someone dies" from the "someone flies, someone dies" teasers, but then when Simone was shot, I was genuinely surprised that they followed through on a teaser.

I was ranting about the same thing. IMO, they're getting better about following through with the teasers than they were early on (at least the last couple).

So was Studio 60 officially cancelled?  They hyped The Black Donnellys in that time slot to no end.

[tj]I know it was picked up for at least the remainder of the season, I don't know if it will be continued next season or not. Last week's episode was pretty weak. Last nights was better, but still not as strong as the show was right out of the gate.

I think in response to disappointing ratings, they've tried to re-tool the show to be more of a romantic drama type show. As of late it's really a lot more focused on the romantic relationships between the two main characters and a lot less focused on the political/social commentary that originally drove the show. Quite honestly the more things they do in attempts to attract viewers, the less interested I become.

As for The Black Donnellys, I think Laura summed it up best the other night when she said "that show will never work on network TV, they can't swear."[/tj]

they bought 22 episodes but it has been discontinued for now with no set air dates of the final  howevermany...

Nine episodes of Studio 60 left to air.  The show was put on hiatus a week early, after last night's episode pulled the lowest ratings in its brief history -- less than a third the number of people who watched CSI:Miami.  No return date has been set, and NBC is not disputing the many reports of cancellation.

If the contract requires that the remaining nine episodes be filmed (at $2.5-$3 million per), it's likely NBC will "air" them online and not on TV.

Ah, thanks guys.

I'll be bummed to lose the show, but, to followup on spaceage's comments, I'm not crazy about the recent direction of the show either. (focusing so much on Matt/Harriet and the absurd Bradley Whitford/Amanda Peet storyline)

Back to Heroes talk, I hope that Ando and the Invisible Guy don't disappear from the storyline for too long.  I found them more interesting than some of the other characters.
