Title: Easter Holidays
Post by: Jules on March 18, 2008, 02:55:52 PM
Do you boys in the US, have Easter Holidays.
It is a public holiday here for Easter, we get a double whammy with Friday and Monday being public holidays.
If so, have you any plans.
I hope to have 4 days straight of golf. ;D ;D

Twoiron, are you going away for Easter.

Heading to the in-laws for the weekend.  Along with sister-in-law, her husband, and their two toddlers.  Six adults, three imperious toddlers, all to stay in one cramped house.  Joy.

Now Clive is that the "sister" you have been talking about in a previous thread.(how your BIL married well. ;) ;D)

You should be in seventh heaven with two beautiful sisters in the one house. ;D ;D

Somehow the pain and suffering seems appropriate.

You know, I never considered how much I could enliven a religious holiday by constantly checking out my wife's sister in front of my wife, her parents, and the sister's husband.
 [sm_devil]

To the point: no, it will not be like being in heaven.  It will be more like being in a dank, uncomfortable cave for three days, then disappearing.
 ;)

In Canada, Good Friday is the stat holiday.  Monday is a usual work day.

No plans here.  Neither Friday or Monday are holiday's in my work's eyes and I won't be found at church on Sunday that's for sure.

To answer your question Jules, no.  We don't get around 45-50 government holidays a year Like Australia, so no time off before or after Easter.

Looks like the plan is to have all of the outlaws over to our place on Sunday.  Ham, turkey, beer, and golf(on tv.  :sad3:  >:( ).

With any luck, a Salvation Army band will play.  The children can drink lemonade, and the morning will last all day.  All day.

I'm off Friday and Monday...and Tuesday and...... :D

Our oldest turns 11 on Easter. She's a bit bummed due to the Easter holiday/School spring break overlap she doesn't have enough friends around for a good birthday party. So I'm sure we'll do something nice for her.

For insurance, I could combine it with my semi-monthly testicular self-examination.
