How much was it? We have a Fry's down the road and I have been looking for an external drive.

According to an old QuickBooks entry, I purchased a 10GB hard drive from Fry's in early 1999 for $247.89 (including tax).

Damn, I would have jumped on that deal.  My wife is addicted to digital photography.  "Save a bundle on film and development costs!" my ass.

In theory anyway.  Ironically, or maybe not, I don't really trust online storage solutions.  They have a way of not being there at some point down the road.  So, for now, backup to an external drive for working copies and burn to DVD for posterity.  I'm starting to exercise some editorial control of what is deemed worthy for keeping in the permanent photo album.
