I saw it as high as $4.15 for regular in parts of NoCal (I think the town was Pacifica) last week.

Were you driving along Skyline Blvd?

Anywhere from $3.579 to $3.659 around here for regular.  The cheapest is at a station in little village just out of town.

We were driving north on Hwy 1 into San Francisco.

I see. When Highway 1 crosses Skyline, it turns inland a little bit while Skyline goes out toward the water. Skyline would have taken you by the Olympic Club, Fort Funston, and out to Great Highway along Ocean Beach. It's a nice little drive.

Cold and windy, mostly. But we had a good time. Spent a day in Monterrey and drove up to Sonoma before we flew home. Good food, good wine, Anchor Steam available on tap almost everywhere... good times.

Sounds great!  Sonoma's a lot of fun. I prefer going there over Napa.
