20 MINUTE MEETING?! Apparently, the 44th POTUS was not obsequious enough with the CEO of BP. I'm going to say the meeting was about twice as long as it should have been: 'I'm going to ask you to put 10 billion dollars in an escrow account and agree to binding 3d party on all claimants that choose to to take that option versus taking your ass to court. Those that wish to skip arbitration and take you to court are still free to do so'. 'Well, we already have a claims process in place that we feel is quite sufficient' 'Your claims process is a stall. I'm telling you to put 20 billion dollars in escrow or we'll pull every *goshdarn* drilling permit on US soil. Want to try for 40 billion? Open your mouth again. Have a nice day'. |
