Post by: Spanky on September 05, 2008, 06:00:50 PM
I'm *goshdarn* tired. Worked my ass off today.

Being the boss has made me soft.

nope, this is the job she has had for 13+ years. It is known she will leave in Dec but it is possible they will let her go early.

hate!

She should show her superiors that her nipples are not chafed.  That may help.

Funny, the guy who :airquotes: works from home  :airquotes: tells you to HTFU.  That's like getting it from one level up than Clive.

what sucks is having seniority but not being able to use it because you are short timing it anyway! But I really care so it sucks when sales for the month of August are so bad you can't remember them being that bad. Maybe in the month of February, but February only has 28 days unless its leap year. So if you work part time (which I do, because I am in school), and you are leaving in December which I am, where will they cut employees if they start looking........... well the boss says he will give me heads up, but he will try to do everything in his power to not do that. Especially since I have been a good employee.

Great rants!  You had me at haircut tips.

You're a good man Charlie Brown.  And one of the best dads I know*  Hang in there.

* Of all digital dads I haven't met, but know from the intergoogles.  Clive, Blader, Fuzzy, gleek, Spankey, et al.

Wait -- when did that start?

On-topic: feeling pretty good here.

Bruce Springsteen

'Sup widdat?

I don't disagree that he's become a cantankerous old fart living on his past glory days (Sorry, COULDN'T resist) and inserting himself in debates where nobody really gives a *fudge* (I like to say *fudge*!) what he thinks, but he's still The Boss.

Today is a much, much better day.

And Bruce Springsteen still sucks.  I believe it's a permanent condition.

And Bruce Springsteen still sucks.  I believe it's a permanent condition.

Got free tickets to see him in '78 or '79, a couple of years after Born To Run.

Still the greatest show I've ever seen. He's one of those people that have the kind of charisma that make it seem like he's the only one in the room. I've only met a couple of other people that have that in my life.

Not a big fan, but don't knock him until you've seen him.
