Title: Hornets or Jazz?
Post by: spacey on February 04, 2008, 05:37:18 PM
Jazz are the best team in the NBA over the last 10 games and are on an 8 game winning streak, but weren't really tested much in that time except for San Antonio. Hornets have been a "Cinderella" team, but are dipping a little bit, dropping two in a row one to a mediocre team, one to a pretty lousy one.

Kirilenko is out tonight with "flu like symptoms."

Who do you take? I'm going Utah 120-116.

Discuss.

having not even turned on a game with either team yet this year, i'll go with the jazz  just because i find it hard to believe the hornets are worth a *feces*

I'll take the team that doesn't suck on the road.

Lucky for them, it's a home game, huh? Looks like the Nuggz are playing Portland on the road tonight. They could stretch the lead to 2 games, although Denver still have two games in-hand.

My god. It's been so long, I had to Google that. Memory of that group was finally eradicated from my brain until this post.  [sm_cussing]

Jazz on a 15-4 run on the back of 5 three point shots, 4 of them by Kyle Korver. Thanks Philly!

Go Jazz! I've always liked Sloan as a coach.

Sometimes I daydream and wonder what it would be like to have an NBA team in Minnesota.

Chris Paul on the bench with 5 fouls and 5:00 left in the 3rd quarter. 67-50, Utah.

Losses by the 'Wolves or wins by the Celtics: which will be higher?

oooohhh........nice question Gleek! I may have to think about that one. 3 weeks ago I would've bet the house on the Celtics but they've cooled off and the Wolves won a couple to hand over worst record in the NBA to the Heat.

As of right now:

Celtics    36-8
Wolves    10-37

Looks like a toss up but if I had to pick I'd say the Wolves will have more defeats. I don't think the Celtics will keep up the .818 pace.

Dig this:  Since it's inception, of the teams that finished each year with the lowest record, only 4 of those teams ended up with the #1 pick in the draft. (lottery)  Some 23 years.

Damn! 14 treys for the Jizz tonight. At one point they were 16-16, and they've gone 15-2 since. What lit a fire under their asses?

Kyle Korver. Apparently.
