For beating Mexico 2-1 to win the Gold Cup today.

Was a hell of a match - at halftime it was not looking good for the US, down 0-1.  The Mexican team was far more aggressive and had much better passing and pressure.  It was all equalized in the second half though, and the US produced more chances - and again missed a few easy ones that would have put the match away (GRRRRRRR!!!).

The Mexicans really, really, really hate to lose to us, but it was good to see that nothing foolish happened - some handshakes (and a jersey or two  [sm_shock] ) were even exchanged.

I lept out of my chair when Feilhaber scored - what a freaking shot!!  Incredible!  8) :o ;D

Hit the Real game last night and they finally won.  I'm good luck.   :P

Two nice goals by new acquisition Robbie Findley.  Only confident guy on the pitch in the first half.  The whole team kicked it up a notch after the first goal.  Who knows, the start of something maybe.

I did watch some of the LA game last night - Columbus beat them with 10 men - nuff said.  Wonder if the Becks acquisition will help at all.

Did you see the Alexi Lalas quote (http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2106111,00.html) last week?  LOL.

Becks is top 2% of the league in his supposed "waning years".  The quality in MLS just isn't there yet.  It's still a good time but come on...   ::)

edit:  Looks like I'm rolling eyes at Hicks.  Not the case.  Referring to Lalas.   :)
