Title: WTF Update...Funny line by a local radio guy on Favre Post by: Fuzzy on August 18, 2009, 10:58:08 AM First of all, if Minnesotans don't want to seem like rubes today was an epic fail. Two local TV stations (at least, I haven't checked others) have broken into regular programming. One had their chopper in the air and followed Favre getting off Ziggy's plane and into a black Escalade and driving from the airport to Viking headquarters.
At Viking headquarters there were all of Torpedo's relatives :D ;) in their Viking jerseys cheering him on. It was seriously like the O.J. chase only different. Just bizarre and kind of sad. ESPN varieties all, assumed I needed nothing but Favre news, shots of the plane he flew in on, carrying the coverage you just referred to nationally (following his car around town? really? I mean really......... yes :sad3: ::) [sm_devil]), etc. WTF is it with ESPN that gives them such a stiffy over Favre? FFS who cares anymore? Yahtzee. I also have to wonder if Goodell told them they don't want the MNF to be a circus spectacle. Jersey retire, Favre running out in purple, G.B. loss, rioting in the stands, etc. Fuzzy keeling over from pure giddiness.................. Seriously, how good would that be? It might be the highest rated MNF game ever. Except I heard the jersey retirement is all but off no matter where Favre goes. It would definitely be a media circus (at least around here). Get Favre and Vick in here. If we're going circus let's go all the way. 8) Did someone say circus?
