Title: I'm Done
Post by: campy on May 05, 2007, 12:29:41 AM
Sorry for the short notice, ;D but as of June 1, Campy is no longer a bar owner.  Some idiot thinks he can make a nickel off of our place, and made an offer ( any offer was cool with me) that we could not refuse.

I am going to miss the following:
Not golfing, because bartenders are on the "time of the month cloth"
No vacation because bartenders are on the "time of the month cloth"
Watching the 401K I've spent the last 18 years building up slowly disappear.
Going to work @ 0430 on my days off.
Bitching, whining, moaning from customers who obviously missed their calling in life, and should have been bar owners because they have "all" the answers.

*fudge* it, I'm out, and still feel OK with everything.  We will have have an awesome party to get rid of the stock we cannot, by law, get rid of...all free, so come one, come all.

I've never felt freeer in my life.

Wow!  I don't know how you could say goodbye to that sweet life of luxury, but whatever.  Glad to hear you got a good offer.

So what ARE you going to do?

So I gather you wouldn't recommend going into the bar business to someone considering a new career path?

Yeah.  Like I'm gonna listen to that.  Same as the dude that tells me not to win the lottery, 'cause it'll ruin my life.  Besides, I have all the answers.

Topic:  Campy.  Congrat.s  Good for you.  I wish I could join the big party.

Another dream of mine shot down in flames.
Hopefully it was enuff of an offer that you may become a "man of leisure"?

More time to slum on down to SLC and drag myself and Spacey out for a game.

Best of luck in your new future.

It looks like a great place to hang-out, but maybe it was too progressive for Wyoming.

Campy, can't you just sell the stock along with the business to the new owner?

I've never been so happy to hear of someone getting out of their profession. :D

According to my wife, no...something to do with state liquor taxes and such.

Nope, still gotta work my regular gig.  But the offer was enough for us to finally say good riddance.

There is a long, somewhat painful story behind our acquisition of said pub, and while I am going to miss a few things, it will be nice for my wife and I to get back to a normal life together.

My profession?  Which of the main 3 are you referencing [caregiving, in-house baby-sitter, pc helpline (in essence)]?  Or maybe you a referencing that I don't truly have a job? ;)

Sure thing 8)
We'll need to find us a Mule to get it across state lines though.

Highway 39 to avoid UHP and Coalville gaol.  By coincidence, that route pops out into the valley just a few miles from my house.   8)
