Title: Thunderbird sorting
Post by: Uisce Beatha on April 23, 2008, 11:58:51 AM
Love the Thunderbird.  Been on it for a year and a half or so now.  Wouldn't leave it.

But...

If I sort by Subject or Sender I can't get back to sorting by Date.  Or at least not easily.  I click the header and/or I use the Sort menu and it resorts but if I leave that folder/box and come back it's stuck on Subject or Sender again.  By some magic after a day or two of this it'll stick.

Anyone?

I can't help you, but I just thought I'd leave you this:

That attitude is why I don't bother to help you.

LMAO.  Oh, that did really make me belly laugh.

I have never even heard of Thunderbird.

I use T-Bird at home, but I don't think I've ever bothered to change the way messages are sorted. If I think about it I'll look, but I suspect there's nothing I can or would try that you haven't already.

Thanks.  It's a weird one.  I'm hoping one of the Twins has seen something about it on one of their tech support boards.

Just tested it, and it all works here for me.

I have never even heard of Thunderbird.

Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/) is a replacement mail program to Outlook/Outlook express made by the same people that make Firefox. 8)

Sorry.  I haven't had that issue before and tried it again anyway.  Works fine for me.  I briefly searched TechGuy (http://www.techguy.org/) and also the Mozilla support, but I didn't find any results with similar issues.  I really don't know. [sm_dunno]

P.S.  If you do figure it out, will you let us know? :D
