I met a friend of mine up at the course for a 4:00 tee time.  The course was open as it rained an inch or so this morning.  Course was in great shape and drained well.  My friend was on the range when I got there and hadn't paid for a cart.  He was thinking about walking so I agreed.  I normally walk unless it's too hot.  We figured the rain from the morning would keep the heat away.  We were so wrong.  We walked 18 holes in what ended up being 95° with at least 80% humidity.  Normally it would be 100° in August so it was cooler than normal, but this year has seen a lot of rain for these parts.  So humidity is not something we see to this degree very often.  We were dying the last few holes.  Of course I started making putts the last few holes too.  Shot a smooth 81 with two doubles and a triple so I'm happy about that. 

Another side story:  I built said friend a set of Wishon clubs.  Wishon 525 driver with Accuflex creation and Wishon 705w2 irons.  He had the driver for two weeks and while playing said course the 13th hole par 4 90° dogleg right.  You can drive the green in the right conditions.  I have a couple times.  So he hits driver over the trees.  Thinks it is good but you can't tell.  Groundskeeper watering green says ball bounce twice and go right in hole.  Mother f'er aced a par 4 for a one with the driver I built.

Nice that you got out too.  I haven't played since July 9 due to a feckin' pinched nerve in my neck.  Every time I try to swing a feckin' club there's a sharp pain in my back and my right arm goes numb all the way down to the fingers. [sm_disgust]

That sucks.  I lost two months of the season last year due to a herniated disk in my back.  Back injuries are the suckiest thing ever to happen to a golf swing.
